STARS

Latest Purchase:
Mimco Star Stretch Headband
RRP: $40
Bought for: $8.50
The second i saw this headband i was taken back to the collections by Chanel & Yves Saint Laurant a couple of years ago that incorporated the star theme through out their pieces.

The stars represent a certain fun and charm that could really liven up an otherwise dull outfit.

Below are images form the Chanel & YSL collections.

JULIANA FORGE

Same year level as Caroline and myself.
Went to school around the corner with many of my friends.
Owns a black horse.
International model.
Recently had a casting with Victoria's Secret.

"I thought at the start of the year I'd take this year off (she finished year 12 last year) and give it a go," she said.

"I didn't think I'd be working this hard, but it's all so exciting."

Forge said she had been exposed to the challenges of international modeling, going to castings alongside super-skinny models.

"When I was in New York they sent me to a couple of castings and I was thinking, 'What am I doing here? I feel like an elephant'. Some of the girls were so, so skinny," she said.

But Forge said she was determined not to succumb to the pressure to shed weight.

"I'm happy with my body the way it is," she said. "I'm the sort of person that if I was told I was too big, I wouldn't want to model the clothes anyway."

In the five months since becoming a full-time model, Forge has shot a print campaign for Ralph Lauren in New York and the new Seafolly swimwear campaign with fellow Aussie Jess Hart.

While in New York she will shoot another campaign for Ralph Lauren and is on hold for a cover shoot for German Vogue magazine.

At the moment we love her potential. However after close examination of many of her photos its clear she's lacking the knowledge of how to work her face in many different ways which can only come from experience.

This girl has big things coming her way and we wish her all the best.

GIVENCHY TRANSEXUAL CAMPAIGN

First Look: Givenchy Fall 2010 Ads with Ming Xi, Catherine McNeil, and Riccardo Tisci's Former Fit Model, Lea T.

The campaign for the new line by Givenchy features model Lea T. who was formally known as Leo and is among one of the only transgender models to really make a name for themselves in the fashion world.

The delicate features and slender body of Lea T. along side the fact that she is Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci old assistant and close friend were the foot through the door that opened up the world of modeling.

“Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci has taken the whole idea of ‘coed fashion shoot’ to another level: The designer is using a [transgender model] among the cast for the house’s fall-winter ad campaign, and it’s someone he knows well: his longtime personal assistant and, interestingly enough, former fit model for his own line. Lea T., a Brazilian with delicate features previously known as Leo, appears alongside an ethnically diverse range of faces in the spots, slated to break in the July issue of L’Uomo Vogue. ‘She’s always been very feminine: superfragile, very aristocratic,’ Tisci enthused of the former Mr. T. ‘She’s part of the family,’ he said, noting that Lea is transitioning into a new career, veterinary medicine, in Milan,” WWD writes.
